Club Lacrosse Teams:

Club lacrosse is a supplemental option to township lacrosse. Club teams typically run tryouts in late June or early July for teams that are fielded for the following year (August - July). Club is a highly competitive, elite level lacrosse experience that is very beneficial not only for training, but useful for older players when they are trying to make middle school or high school teams. Most clubs travel for tournaments regionally (PA, NJ, DE, MD, VA, NY) for several weekends throughout the summer. There are typically tournaments in the fall and some options throughout the winter that may include outdoor or indoor/box lacrosse games.

Many club teams respect township lacrosse scheduling. Some do have practices and games in the spring that may conflict so do your research to make sure it can fit into your schedule. (Wisslax travel teams are based on commitment to Wisslax first).  Club lacrosse is a time and monetary commitment, very rewarding, and a ton of fun.

When researching a club team, yes there is a tryout in order to make the team, but you should also make sure the culture of the team fits what you are looking for.  Some local clubs are:
